Stranger Things; the Musical Parody
It's even stranger with music and dancing...
In 1986, a secret lab in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana opens a portal to a dangerous dimension, the Upside-Down. After a young boy is taken, his friends and family meet some powerful allies and try to rescue him, and stop the monster from the other side. Based on Season 1 of the popular Netflix series, this musical parody is chock full of heart, laughs, nostalgia, dancing, ridiculousness and scares, as well as a bunch of 80s songs everyone knows and loves.
So come on out to Funhouse and turn that frown Upside-Down.

Thursdays-Saturdays, show at 7:00 pm (doors at 6:30pm)

The Raven, An Opera
Jesse Preis debuts The Raven, a chamber opera composed for three voices and chamber ensemble from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem of the same name, directed by Melory Mirashrafi. In this opera, the narrator (split into two characters to capture the perspective of the Past and the Current at two different stages in life) deals with the loss of a loved one. These complicated, painful, and even terrifying emotions become personified through the character of the Raven. This work is composed with no specific voice types tied to the characters - anyone able to sing the part can and should sing them. This is a groundbreaking composing technique that unties the binds of gendered characters and allows vocalists to portray a character of any gender that is authentic to them and suits their voice. Preis seeks to expand our understanding of vocal writing to go beyond the gendered conventions of soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, and bass-baritone, and posits a world where characters are simply written and performed by a wide variety of voices.

From Concept to Character: The Anatomy of Her
Watch inspiration become a living character through makeup, styling and storytelling in this intimate Beautifully Haunting experience.
FROM CONCEPT TO CHARACTER
Enter the world of Beautifully Haunting for an intimate live exploration of creativity, makeup and transformation.
Watch as makeup artist and creative director Melissa Shiffer takes a character from inspiration to final creation—sharing the creative process behind building a visual world, from the images that spark an idea to the choices that bring a character to life.
Through a live makeup demonstration on a model, Melissa will explore visual libraries, anatomy and facial structure, shading, color, texture and the process of translating inspiration into something entirely your own.
But the makeup is only part of the story.
See how makeup, hair, wardrobe, styling and photography come together to transform an idea into a fully realized character—and watch the finished creation step from the makeup chair into an editorial photo shoot.
STUDY No. 001 — THE ANATOMY OF HER
Our first study explores the tension between beauty and the macabre through Renaissance anatomy, religious iconography, sacred hearts, veils, painted masks and editorial fashion.
Come curious. Leave inspired to create a world of your own.
Welcome to Beautifully Haunting.
Telltale: The Ghost Show
Oh sweet darling, it's that time of year again. Where we honor the dead, fight for the living, embrace the strange, and hold hands in the face of everything—it's the 5th annual Ghost Show, presented by Telltale! Telltale regularly curates nights of storytelling for folks that like to get vulnerable and take no shit, but this night will be special. This is the night where we bring all our loss and joy together.
For us, ghosts can represent all the grief and loss of these bizarre and heavy years, the way the things and people we love are never really gone, and a way to get your heart racing in the middle of the night. Ghosts help us tell important stories and hold onto things we can’t let go of yet.
Telltale promises to bring you a makers market selling odd things, an opportunity to send your future self a note, live music from Stephanie Strange, storytelling, comedy, an incredible raffle, ghost shaped snacks, beer tasting, a photo corner, the INKBUS ink doing ghost tattos, a truly lovely group of people to spend time with, and perhaps a few ghosts in attendance if we play our cards right. It’s going to be a party. I really recommend dressing up, whatever that means to you.
Telltale knows that time is short and we have to do our best with what we’ve got. Please join us in raising a glass to those that are gone, and then raising another glass for those that are still here.
Life is short. Let’s have a nice party. With ghosts.

Those favorite Saturday morning sleuths of Mystery Inc., portrayed in delightfully non-traditional fashion by the talented actors of the Funhouse Lounge, will be there to make sure things get figured out. Friends will be made, fun will be had, characters will die and Scooby snacks will be eaten. Will it turn out to be a monster of ancient legend? A sinister curse? An unsettled malevolent spirit? A crazed slasher? An alien presence? A mad scientist and his creature? Even we don’t know. Let’s find out together.
It’s a real creepy Halloween-time treat for all. Zoinks!

Ghost Show! Where Losers Go To Die
GHOST SHOW! is the story of a group of people who have found themselves at the lowest point in their lives — making a low budget ghost hunting show that’s last place in the local ratings. But an accidental death (is she dead, though?) leads to a boost in engagement…and a whole new set of problems. Filmed both behind the scenes and as in-universe episodes of the show, GHOST SHOW! is all about failure, found family, and trying to make meaning out of the ghosts of our past — and future.

Tickets: $25/ticket, which includes a FREE raffle ticket! Prizes include REAL ghost hunting gear!
Little Shop of Horrors // Benefit for Wildwood Farm Sanctuary
The time has come again for the bloodthirsty plant invasion. The third interactive screening of this infamous horror-comedy musical has even weirder props and more hilarious audience participation.
Think a vegan-friendly Rocky Horror Picture Show but with a cute man-eating plant that’s developed an appetite for blood and world domination.
New and improved, we’ve incorporated the best of all our interactive screenings into this phenomenal cult classic. You can expect to feed human limbs to a photosynthesizing monster and pose with Audrey II for life-threatening photo ops, and that’s just the beginning.
All attendees will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win incredible prices from our generous donors. And the proceeds benefit the feathered and furry residents at the Wildwood Farm Sanctuary.
